Berkshire No. 02 • Suite Component
Substance, Storage & Provenance
The buffet anchors the Rockford suite with a carved and pierced backsplash crest, burl-veneered top drawers, applied scrollwork and medallion detail, fluted pilasters with turned split-baluster columns, a fan-carved apron, and bold turned bulb feet.
Original brass hardware was cleaned and reinstalled, with generous storage across four drawers and two cabinet doors. The top two drawers are lined in the same cream cut-scrollwork fabric used on the dining chairs.
Matching assembly stamps connect the buffet to the table, leaves, and chairs from the same factory production run. It is presented here as a detailed component of the complete suite, not as a separate acquisition.
