Listing 1 • Table + Chairs
Rockford Dining Table + Six Chairs
The dining table, two extension leaves, five side chairs, and captain chair are presented together as one restored dining acquisition. Walkwood Furniture acquired these pieces and the companion Rockford buffet together from one household in 2025.
Surviving “A Line” paper labels identify Rockford Furniture Company. An exact production year, pattern, and single factory production run have not been confirmed.
The table carries dramatic turned and carved legs with gadrooned urn details, a shaped and pierced fleur-de-lis apron, and canted corners on the top. Extended with both leaves, it reaches 102 inches and seats ten. Each chair back is hand-shaped with pierced scrollwork and turned finial posts; the captain chair adds sweeping scrolled arms on turned supports.
Companion Piece
The Rockford Buffet — Listed Separately
The companion buffet brings a strong architectural presence with a carved and pierced backsplash crest, burl-veneered top drawers, applied scrollwork and medallion detail, fluted pilasters with turned split-baluster columns, a fan-carved apron, and bold turned bulb feet.
Original brass hardware was cleaned and reinstalled. The buffet provides generous storage across four drawers and two cabinet doors, and the top two drawers are lined in the same cream cut-scrollwork fabric used on the dining chairs.
