The Monroe 2.0v is the first documented piece from Walkwood Furniture — and one that set the standard for every restoration that follows.
The case is solid mahogany, a hardwood prized for its structural integrity and natural rot resistance. The American Colonial Revival form carries weight without ornamentation for its own sake — proportioned to hold a room, not compete with it.
The finish is SW 9587 Mushroom, applied using the Dimension Finish™ — a proprietary Walkwood method that builds depth across multiple hand-applied layers. The result is a surface that reads differently in every light: warm in the morning, cool in the evening, and never flat.
